Russian Citizens May Not Observe Elections In Ukraine

Central Election Commission of Ukraine asks foreign states and international organizations to exercise caution in selecting observers

The Central Election Commission(CEC) of Ukraine has published a news bulletin on their website reminding foreign states and international organizations interested in observing the 2019 presidential and parliamentary elections Ukraine to bear in mind, that according to the Ukrainian legislation of "On the peculiarities of state policy to ensure Ukraine’s state sovereignty over temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions" Russia is considered to be an aggressor state committing an act of aggression against Ukraine by occupying parts of its territory.

In the same bulletin CEC also warns, that criminal liability will wait anyone, who while being part of the armed forces or law enforcement of "the aggressor state", tries to cross the Ukrainian border.
