Red Line for Gaza

On Sunday, Gender Concerns International once again stood in solidarity with thousands of demonstrators in The Hague as they formed a humanRed Line for Gaza, stretching from Malieveld to the Peace Palace and the International Criminal Court. This was thesecond mass action of its kindin the city, echoing the call for an immediate ceasefire and accountability for ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

Having participated in the first Red Line action last month our organization reaffirms our commitment to justice, peace, and the protection of civilians.

Dressed in red and carrying banners demanding justice for Palestine, protesters once again turned the heart of The Hague, home to many international legal institutions, into a powerful space of remembrance, outrage, and resistance.

The Red Line protest symbolizes a clear message:enough is enough. Civilians, particularly women and children in Gaza, continue to face unimaginable violence, displacement, and the collapse of basic life systems, from health care to education. These realities cannot go unanswered.

In solidarity with people of Palestine Gender Concerns International calls for:

  • An immediate and permanent ceasefire;
  • Protection and humanitarian access for women and children in Gaza;
  • Prosecution of war crimes under international law;
  • Inclusion of women in peace-building processes.
