International Gender Champion Breakfast at the Swiss Residence in The Hague

In March 2025, Director Bano extended her sincere gratitude to the Swiss Ambassador and Permanent Representative, H.E. Corinne Cicéron-Bühler, for hosting yet another warm and inspiring Annual International Gender Champions (IGC) breakfast meeting at the Swiss Residence in The Hague.

The gathering brought together a large number of The Hague–based International Gender Champions, reaffirming the city’s strong commitment to advancing gender equality within international institutions and diplomatic circles. The Swiss Residence once again provided a welcoming setting for open dialogue, exchange of best practices, and renewed commitments to concrete action.

An important highlight of the event was the keynote address by Peter-Derrek Hof, Director of Social Development and Ambassador for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. In an insightful and thought-provoking speech, he reflected on the Netherlands’ priorities in promoting women’s rights, the importance of inclusive policymaking, and the role of international partnerships in accelerating progress toward gender equality.
