Asma Jahangir will receive prestigious Franklin D. Roosevelt
Four Freedoms Award in the Netherlands

The renowned Pakistani Human Rights Advocate Ms. Asma Jahangir will attend an exclusive session at the office of Gender Concerns International, when she is visiting the Netherlands to receive The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award 2010. Distinguished guest Asma Jahangir will speak about Current Women's Human Rights Situation in Pakistan. At this occasion H. E. Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry of Pakistan will be the Guest of Honor.
 
Ms. Jahangir is serving as the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion and Belief as well as the Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. She has received many awards including the Millennium Prize by UNIFEM and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as part of the 1000 Women for Peace Project. Now she will add another prestigious award to that list; The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award.
