In Commemoration of Benazir Bhutto, Former Prime Minister of Pakistan

#SheLeads Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, on her 12th Assassination Anniversary today.

This week in #SheLeads, we tribute to the world’s youngest Prime Minister at that time, elected first woman Prime Minister in the Muslim world, and serving PM Pakistan twice during, 1988-1990 and 1993-1996.
After an imposed extended exile, when PM Bhutto returned to Pakistan in October 2007, her homecoming procession was attacked, killing her party workers.
Fortunately, Bhutto herself escaped the October attempt of murder on her life, but tragically just two months after, was eliminated by targeted killing in Rawalpindi, the military garrison city of Pakistan.
After Mr. Bhutto’s death Sentence, PM Bhutto was his third child, who was killed, followed by earlier assassinations of her brothers Murtaza and Zulfiqar Bhutto.

An icon for women’s rights, Ms. Bhutto is greatly admired for her perseverance, hard work and success in Pakistan.
