Film on Libyan women by Gender Concerns

Gender Concerns has produced a short documentary film interviewing women who are standing up for their place in government and society. Eight leading women were interviewed about their participation in decision-making and its related challenges, their efforts to improve gender equality in decision-making and the importance of women’s involvement in political life, society, democratic processes, and encouraging women to vote.

This film aims to raise awareness about the importance of women’s political representation. Marie-Cecile Darme, a committed Gender Concerns International project officer currently in Libya, made the film.
