Human Rights Day

Gender Concerns International in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan to the Netherlands, cordially invites you to a special public event in The Hague, on Human Rights Day, Monday, 10 December, 2012.

The event will highlight the rights of girls and boys to equal education opportunities which complement their communities and how this can be progressed to meet the 2015 UN millennium goal on universal primary education.

Gender Concerns has chosen 10 December for such a crucial meeting because not only is it Human Rights Day but it marks two months since 15 year old Pakistani school girl Malala Yousafzai was shot for promoting education for girls.

The key speaker will be Pakistan’s Ambassador to The Netherlands, HE Fauzia Mazhar Sana. Other speakers will include representatives from the Global Campaign for Education, Ambassadors, and experts on gender and education.
