New Video Release to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Gender Concerns International values the importance of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and is pleased to launch its YouTube Video commemorating the 15th anniversary of contributing to global gender equality, peace and security and a more sustainable environment world-wide. The short video highlights the impacts and achievements of 15 years’ untiring work to challenge inequalities and change the perspectives on women’s electoral participation and political leadership internationally.

As a testimony to accomplished initiatives and to further reaffirm our commitment to continue supporting the realization of global gender parity-based governance, which is instrumental in the elimination of discriminatory and violent practices against women, we dedicate the launch of our video to this special day.

Today is the day to renew our pledges to work harder in providing inclusive and non-discriminatory support to all women victims of violence despite their creed, nationalities and geographical boundaries.

Today is the day to think about the severe situation of women in Kashmir and their long endurance of violence and suffering.

The International Community cannot afford to be blamed for being bias towards the women victims of violence in Kashmir anymore! #OrangeTheWorldforWomeninKashmir
