Kenya’s elections 2022 and Kenyan female political participation

Following the Supreme Court ruling on 5th September 2022, the international community, ‘congratulated Dr William Samoei Ruto on being elected to serve the Republic of Kenya as the fifth president.’

The increased number of elected women governors also marks the beginning of a new era as more women will ascend into top leadership positions in Kenya. The process of electing Kenyan women into leadership was a demonstration of growth in democracy in Kenya.
