Engaging the Youth: Gender Equality

As a policy of Gender Concerns International, the Organization is regularly working on strategies to engage young men and women in promoting gender equality worldwide. Within that context, Gender Concerns International was delighted to participate in the 8th Employment Network Event (ENE) organized by the International and European Law (Law) degree program took place at the Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) on 17 May 2019. Gender Concerns International is thrilled to inspire a new generation of youth believing in gender equality and motivated and dedicated to bridge the gender gap.

Among all participants, there were students, alumni from dozens of different countries, professionals and representatives from leading organizations in the field of peace and law, and representatives from universities around the world.

The opening ceremony started by introducing the Ambassadors of Australia, Finland and Lithuania. H.E. Matthew Neuhaus, Ambassador of Australia to the Netherlands, H.E. Paivi Kaukoranta, Ambassador of Finland to the Netherlands and H.E. Vidmantas Purlys, Ambassador of Lithuania to the Netherlands explained what encouraged them to become Ambassadors and their achievement before becoming representatives of their countries.

After the introduction, the Q&A Session began, followed by other panels and networking among students, alumni and respectful representatives from leading organizations and other universities around the world at the Main Hall.
