Snap elections take place in Ukraine

The latest exit poll data provided after the closing of the polls at 20.00 Kyiv time shows that 44.2% of the voters supported pro-president's Servant of the People party, which secured the party's huge lead. 11.4% voted for Opposition Platform – For Life, 8.8% – for ex-president Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity, 7.4% – for Yulia Tymoshenko's Motherland party, and 6.5% – for Sviatoslav Vakarchuk's Voice Party – meaning that five parties have passed the 5% barrier required by the electoral legislation of Ukraine.

According to these numbers the Servant of the People party is expected to get at least 126 seats, leaving 33 for For Life, 26 seats for European Solidarity, 22 for Motherland and 18 for the Voice party.

The data from 107 out of 199 electoral districts from 20.00 Sunday shows that the voter turnout in the snap elections was 49.28% with the highest turnout recorded in Poltava, Lviv, Ternopil, and Chernihiv regions.
